Aussie Firm Babcock & Brown Hires ABN AMRO’s Sangameswaran & 6 Others For India Ops
Australia’s investment and specialised fund and asset management group, Babcock & Brown, has hired eight key managers from ABN AMRO India including the latter’s M&A Head Manikkan Sangameswaran. Babcock & Brown will be headed by Sangameswaran in India. He was a key member of ABN Amro which advised on the Tata Steel’s acquisition of Corus Group Plc. Babcock & Brown will be investing in India a 40 per cent of the $1 billion fund it had raised earlier. The fund will be focusing on investing in infrastructure projects. Manikkan will report to John Bowyer, Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure for the Asia-Pacific. (more…)
